Cowfish wall plate and cable for VanTenna
The wall plate provides a 12V power supply for your television and is also a
powered COAX splitter. It comes with two TV outputs, allowing you to connect
and watch two televisions at the same time. The on/off switch let you to
select the input; Antenna or Satellite.
Why buy the TV wall plate?
Caravan television antennas are known as active antennas. This means that they
require 12 volt power in order to receive a television signal. The Cowfish TV
wall plate injects power through the COAX cable to the television antenna in
order to power the amplifier and 4G filter.
Installation
- Connect the black & red DC wires to your 12V power source. Use as a minimum 14 AWG wire.
- Connect the antenna coaxial cable to “ANTENNA INPUT” F connector (#1) and tighten until finger tight. (The coax cable is to be routed through the ceiling and wall to the chosen wall plate location).
- (OPTIONAL) Connect the Satellite TV cable to “SATELLITE TV INPUT” F connector (#2) and tighten until finger tight.
- (OPTIONAL) If you have a second television outlet in your caravan, for instance an external entertainment hatch, connect the secondary TV outlet cable to “TV2 OUTPUT” F connector (#3) and tighten until finger tight.
Upgrading from an existing antenna
When upgrading your antenna to a new model, confirm if you already have a
power injector and if this unit is a 12 volt device or 5 volt. The VanTenna,
like most caravan antennas, requires 12 volt.
